ACTU was set up in September 2006 and provides assessment services to pre-schoolers and students from mainstream schools, resource centres and non-governmental organisations.

SERVICES OFFERED
1. Assistive technology assessments for pupils with learning difficulties in state, church and independent schools.2. Professional advice on appropriate hardware and software.3. Student, professional and parent support in the use of Assistive Technology (AT) and Augmentative and Alternative means of communication (AAC).4. Email / web, telephone information and support service.

5. In-service training in ICT for IENs, Assistive Technology (AT) and Augmentative and Alternative means of communication (AAC).6. Life skills programme for older learners.
